JiaQing Wu, a Chinese pool player, is the double world champion. As a teenager, he won World 9-Ball Championship. Wu, also known as "Chiachung Wu" in his youth, defeated Ouschan, the world number one, by 11 points in the finals. Wu won the World Eight-Ball Championship and was second in the World ten-ball Championship.

Tyler Styler is an American pool players. He started playing pool as a teenager and was 13th in his first WPA World Junior Championship. In the year 2008, he was the youngest player to represent Europe in the Mosconi Cup, where he was named MVP of the event. He also became the youngest player to win China Open. He won the European Pool Championship in the year following. He won the WPA World 9 ball Championship and the Leende Open in 2019. He also won the US Open-9-ball championship first place.
Saris beats Albin in the Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open
The Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open has commenced with the 9-ball individual competition. The Netherlands' leading sports channel Ziggo Sports Channel broadcasts the first match live. There will be a semifinal and the final.
Albin Ouschan beat Ivar Saris in a thrilling match. Albin won nine out ten of the ten points needed to win. To advance to the knockout round, he will be facing the winner from the Erol Kaas vs Michel Bartol game.
David Alcaide defeats Shane Van Boening at the Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open
The Dynamic Billard Veldhoven Open has reached its final phase and Shane Van Boening is still in the running for the title. American had previously won the Predator World 10-ball Championship. He will now face the reigning World Pool and Billiards Association 9-ball champion, Joshua Filler, in the final. Both men survived difficult draw conditions. Filler won against Gerson Martinez, Peru. Van Boening faced Fedor Gorst, Russia. Filler won at 6-2 after leading the first phase matches by as much four games.
Van Boening was the top seed in the 64-player bracket. He had spent hours practicing his break shot in Qatar. He used this to easily beat his first four opponents. The combined score was 44-14. He beat Orcollo, and then went on to beat David Alcaide.
