Dennis Taylor won numerous prestigious trophy awards during his career. The 1985 World Snooker Championship was his greatest achievement. Dennis Taylor was born on January 19, 1949 in Coalisland County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. He started playing snooker as a nine-year-old. He went on to be one of the best snooker players in the world. He won the British Junior Billiards Championship in 1967/68. He was also involved in the 1973 World Snooker Championship. In 1972, he made his professional debut. He was the 1979 World Snooker Championship runner-up and won the invitational 1987 Masters. He retired as a professional snooker player in 2000.
