Pool is a very competitive sport, which is quite different from other billiard games. It is popular all over the world. In the USA, there are many variations of the game played, but the most popular varieties are the eight ball and the nine ball pool. The pool matches are played over multiple games with the winner being declared after a set number of frames. The winner generally gets 61 point. Different winning numbers can be given handicaps.

The primary objective of the game is for all balls to be pounded to be potted. Each ball that is pounded counts for one point. However, any additional balls that are pounded count for one point. The eight-ball rule states that a player can win only if they take the ball first. A player loses the game if they don't get the eight ball. If the eight ball is pocketed during a foul, the other balls that were pocketed in the course of the foul are pocketed and are spotted. However, the foul does not count towards the points. Players who have committed two fouls are subject to being told before they are allowed to play their next shot.

The balls are divided into three groups: solid balls; striped balls; and object balls. They are typically smaller than American style balls. They come in a variety colours, including dark violet for four and twelve balls. The object balls used to be all-red in the past. However, they are often multi-colored these days. They are made from a variety of materials, including wood, fibreglass, and carbon fibre. There are three most common sizes for ball diameters: 2+1/16", 2 inches and 3 inches.

The object is to get the black eight ball. To do so, the player must pocket all the balls that are assigned to be pounded, but he must make sure that all the balls that are pocketed are spotted and placed in direct lines to the foot rail. The player with eight balls in his pocket is allowed to place them back on the tables.

You can pocket a basketball without fouling by placing it close to your foot and calling the shot. Fouls committed during the shot will result in the loss of all other balls. The foul will not add to the points, but the player will receive a shot free of charge. This shot can be played with any ball, and the foul is suspended until the player makes a new shot.

When a player hits a shot they must put the ball in their own bag. The balls must be hit in order of priority. However, if the foul is committed before the ball is pocketed it must be pocketed again. A player can also pocket other balls.
