Joe Perry is a snooker player you are likely to have seen for some time. British snooker players, Perry has spent many seasons at the bottom end of the sport. He has also spent a few seasons at the top of the game. He reached the Top 16 in 2002 for the first time. He has been in the Top 20 for three seasons.

Joe Perry has been called both "the Fen Potter," and "the Gentleman." He was born in the Cambridgeshire region and turned professional in 1992. He has been a full-time professional ever since. Ken, his older brother, is also a professional.

Although he has never won a major ranking event, Perry has been a regular fixture on the world stage. In 2011, he was among the top eight provisional ranking for the first time. At the tender age of 12, he started his snooker journey. He rose to prominence as a professional in the 1990s. In 2001, he reached the final of the European Open. He won the Welsh Open in spring 2002. After that, he played in the Wuxi Classic in 2014.

In the same year he beat Matthew Stevens (Marco Fu) and Jamie Cope and reached the semi finals of Masters. He received his second ranking award. He participated in the Xuzhou Open as well as the Welsh Open later that year. He was a mere 14th player in the standings by the end of the season.

Despite losing out to Stephen Hendry as well as Graeme Dott in the Welsh Open Masters, he was able to earn a spot in the top ten of the world rankings. He has won three major tournaments on his path to the top: the Welsh Open Masters Masters, the Xuzhou Open Open, and the Welsh Open Masters Masters. He also teaches people how to play this game.

During his career, he has made a number of attempts to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan. He won a 9-5 victory during the first round, 2008 UK Championship. He was just one frame away of the Masters finals in 2017, but lost to Ronnie O'Sullivan.

In the first round, he defeated Mark Selby, the current champion. He also won the Xuzhou Open in 2015. He has also taught a variety of courses and been a BBC guest commentator.
